What's New

Every update, feature, and improvement we ship to make managing your money easier.

    Version 1.18

    September 5, 2026

    New

    • Turkish: the ninth language, and the first that came from a user asking for it rather than from the numbers. Turkish banks address you formally while the fintech apps use the familiar form, so Finny follows Apple's own Turkish instead and reads native to both, and every iOS term in the setup guides was read out of the system rather than translated, so each step names what your iPhone names. Settings → Display → Language
    • Your payment methods, as a wallet on Overview: every method the period was paid with becomes a card carrying its name, its share and its amount, stacked so only the top band of each shows and the last slides behind a stitched pocket, the way cards sit in a real sleeve. Biggest spend on top, three to start and Show all for the rest, with a check on the one you set as your default. The corner button flips the wallet between expense and income, tapping a card opens History filtered to that method, and changing the period deals the whole deck in one motion

    Improved

    • Overview swipes are smooth, and they stay put: the whole screen used to rebuild itself card by card as you swiped from one period to the next, which shoved the card under your finger up to a third of a screen away, so you had to go and find it again. The cards now change in one frame and hold their place, and only what should be seen moving moves: figures roll, charts morph, the deck deals. Show all survives a period change too, instead of collapsing on every swipe
    • Overview taps back: changing the period, by swiping a chart or tapping the chevrons, now gives one light tap of confirmation, and a swipe that cannot go anywhere, because the next period has not happened yet, stays silent. Donut sectors and legend rows answer the same way the wallet cards do

    Bug fixes

    • Turkish lira amounts went unrecognized: the same fault the Indonesian rupiah had, one market later: a screen full of lira transactions could look empty to Screen Log, because ₺250 was not read as an amount at all. Amounts written with decimals slipped through by luck, which made it a quiet, partial failure. , TL and TRY all count now
    • One transaction could be mistaken for a list of them: a single transaction's detail view could count as three or four amounts instead of one, because a dotted date like 04.09.2026 read as an amount and a grouped figure like 1.250,00 counted twice. Past three, Finny assumes it is looking at a list, so Screen Log staged one payment for review instead of logging it. Counted correctly now in every format Finny supports
    • The largest text sizes came apart: with Larger Text dragged to its maximum, labels grew to roughly three times their size while the cards, pills, keypad and tab bar around them stayed exactly where they were. Text now stops growing at the largest standard size, everywhere at once: sheets, the lock screen, the share sheet and the widget included. The AI chat had the opposite bug and is fixed in the same pass, since its bubbles ignored your text size entirely
    • The Spending Calendar widget was hard to read on a dark phone: day numbers and the balance rendered in their light colors against a dark card, so anyone whose phone is dark while Finny is set to Light, which is the default, got a widget they could barely read. It now follows your phone the way Weather and Calendar do, and today's highlight was rebuilt with it, having been faint all along
    • The widget ignored your color theme: the month chip and the balance bar had Classic's pastel painted on by hand, so a Monochrome user got a grey badge in the app and a pink one on the Home Screen, and the medium widget kept its green and violet figures once everything around them went grey. All of them follow your theme now, and switching theme refreshes the widget straight away instead of leaving the old colors up until the next entry
    • "Spent" wrapped mid-word on the small widget: it read Spen / t for most of the year, since only May, June and July are short enough to leave the month chip any room. The chip now carries the same short month the rest of the app uses, formatted for your language, and both labels on that row are held to one line so neither can wrap again in a longer language

    Version 1.17

    August 27, 2026

    New

    • French, Malay and Indonesian: three more, which takes Finny to eight languages. Every iOS term in the setup guides was checked against the way your iPhone actually names it in your language rather than translated word for word, so the steps match what is on your screen. Switch any time in Settings → Display → Language
    • A monochrome theme: a fourth option beside Classic, Garden and Coastal, for when you want the charts to stop shouting. Income and expense are told apart by lightness rather than color, which has a happy side effect: it is the one theme that reads exactly the same whether or not you are color blind. Settings → Display → Theme
    • The tab bar can go back to flat icons: the illustrated icons stay the default, but the earlier flat set is back for anyone who preferred it. Pick from a preview that draws the real tab bar rather than describing it, so what you see is what you get. Settings → Display → Tab icons
    • Your month can start on payday: paid on the 25th? Your month can now start on any day from the 1st to the 28th, so a single paycheck stops being split across two periods. Overview, Budget and History all follow it, calendar included, and past periods regroup too, so each header names the window you are actually looking at, like 25 Jul to 24 Aug. None of your entries are touched either way, and if a subscription lapses Finny keeps the day you chose rather than restating your history underneath you. Settings → Money setup → Start month on. Needs Finny Pro

    Improved

    • Settings, rebuilt around what you came for: thirty-seven rows spread across nine groups became seven, split on one clear line: Money setup holds anything that changes what gets counted, Display holds anything that changes how it looks. The old Preferences block was thirteen rows deep under a header that promised nothing. Security now sits with Data & Privacy, the calculators moved into Help where they always belonged, and every section header carries an icon so the groups are easier to pick out as you scroll. Every row kept its behavior and nothing was removed
    • "This month" is now "This period": across the charts, the budget cards and History, because a month is no longer always a calendar month. Translated everywhere
    • The monthly chart names its bars by day, not by week: those bars were never calendar weeks. They are seven-day slices counted from the first day of your period, so W1 to W5 now read 1st to 5th. Tap any bar to see its exact dates

    Bug fixes

    • A very large amount could crash Finny on every launch: log an amount long enough to overflow the charts and Finny could die on the Overview screen the moment it opened, with a reinstall the only way back in and the entry waiting to do it again. Amounts are now capped at fifteen digits, the width the keypad already allowed, on every route an amount can arrive by rather than only the keypad. Nothing already in your history is rewritten
    • Indonesian rupiah amounts went unrecognized: a screen full of rupiah transactions could look empty to Screen Log, because amounts written the most common way, Rp50.000, were not being counted as amounts at all
    • The History filter showed English category names: filtering your history in another language still showed Housing & Rent and Credit Card in English, sitting inside otherwise translated screens. Both chips now use the same translated name the rest of the app does
    • Selected options disappeared in dark mode: the checkmark on the keypad style you had chosen was invisible against its own background in dark mode, which quietly made the option you had not chosen the loud one. Fixed there, and on the PRO pill and Renew button
    • An entry logged in the last moment of a period belonged to no period: periods ended a fraction of a second before midnight, leaving a sliver of time that nothing claimed. Every period now ends exactly where the next one begins
    • Plus: the settings preview carousels center on themselves instead of losing the peek of the next card, the day picker no longer clips its wheel and grows with your text size, and a round of smaller spacing fixes across Settings

    Version 1.16

    August 7, 2026

    New

    • Screen Log: see a payment on your screen and log it with one press. Press the Action Button or tap the back of your phone, and Finny reads whatever transaction is showing: a bank app, an order confirmation, a receipt, a statement. If several transactions are on screen it stages them for review instead of guessing, so nothing is imported until you pick through them. The capture attaches to the entry as its photo, and it never touches your camera roll. Needs Finny Pro
    • Missed Payments: when a Tap to Track payment reaches Finny without enough detail to log, it no longer disappears. It waits as a chip in History. Tap it, pick the payment in Wallet, and Finny fills in the rest, including the real transaction date rather than the time it gave up. When several pile up, a Clear all appears above them. Needs Finny Pro
    • Budgets can end: a budget now takes an optional last month alongside its start, so a trip, a wedding or a renovation closes itself out instead of running forever. An ended budget drops out of the current month but stays fully browsable in every month it covered, and a row on the summary card tells you when budgets have finished their run so they never just vanish

    Improved

    • Tap to Track, rebuilt: setup is now one pre-wired shortcut and one automation instead of four pages of hand-wiring. Better still, when a tap does not log, you hear about it within a minute rather than never: Finny can now tell a payment that never happened apart from one that died on the way, and the second case becomes a Missed Payment you can recover
    • Every guide opens with a demo: the Screen Log, Tap to Track and Quick Log walkthroughs now start with a short video of the feature working, so you can see what you are setting up before you set it up. The Screen Log and Tap to Track guides open for everyone now, not just subscribers
    • A new category without leaving the budget form: creating a budget and realising you need a category no longer means abandoning the form for Settings. Add it inline and it is selected immediately
    • The recurring card counts real payments: the total on the recurring card is now the sum of payments actually logged in the period, not what the schedule predicted. A payment that landed on a rule whose schedule had drifted used to vanish from the total, and days that were merely scheduled used to be counted as though paid. The caption follows: paid this month, or received this month on the income side

    Bug fixes

    • Entries could disappear if you had more than a thousand: a sync could quietly read only the first thousand entries and treat everything beyond that as deleted elsewhere, removing them from your device. Anyone past that count could lose entries on every sync, and worse, each new entry pushed the total further past the limit. Sync now reads every page, and it will never delete on an incomplete read. Nothing was lost from the cloud, and the next sync restores what went missing
    • Recurring reminders now say what they are for: a reminder for a rule with no note used to arrive as "a monthly entry is due tomorrow", leaving you guessing which one. It now names the rule the same way the Overview card does, and money arriving is expected rather than due, so a salary no longer reads like a bill
    • Backdated edits leave your history alone: choosing this and future entries after moving a date into the past could rewrite entries that had already happened, restating amounts you had actually paid and taking their photos with them. Nothing dated before today is ever touched now
    • Skipped payments stay skipped: deleting a single occurrence on one device could be undone by an edit made on another, and the payment you removed would come back
    • Reminders for a brand-new recurring rule: a rule created today did not arm its reminders until the next time you opened Finny. Set up a subscription starting tomorrow, and the reminder due that evening simply never fired
    • Plus: the Budget month filter now offers every month your budgets covered instead of only the last five, the price timeline no longer disappears the moment you subscribe, and a round of smaller budget and recurring polish

    Version 1.15

    July 28, 2026

    New

    • Attach a photo to any entry: with Finny Pro, every entry can carry a photo. Add one from your gallery in the entry form, or let a receipt scan attach it for you. The entry shows a pinned thumbnail you can tap to open full screen, with pinch to zoom and swipe to dismiss. Your photos stay on your device and back up to your own iCloud, never to Finny's servers. Transaction rows get a little pushpin so photo entries are easy to spot, and a new Photo storage row in Settings shows how much space they use with a one-tap way to clear them
    • Turn your calendar into a photo board: the History calendar can now show your photos in place of emoji. Each past day becomes a little polaroid with that day's net total on the chin, so a month of receipts and moments reads at a glance. A toggle in the calendar header flips between the emoji and photo views, and days with more than one photo show the most recent with a small count badge. Photo mode needs Finny Pro to switch on
    • A detail view for every recurring bill: tap any recurring rule on your Overview to open its full story: how much you have paid over its lifetime, a true monthly cost (a yearly bill now reads as what it works out to per month), what is coming up next, a timeline of when its price changed, and the full payment history you can tap to edit. Editing and stopping the rule live here too. Finny Pro unlocks the insights and price timeline, while the history and day-to-day management stay free. Available in all five languages

    Improved

    • The recurring card's bubbles are now stickers: the bubbles on the recurring card are die-cut stickers, each emoji and label resting on a single piece of paper with a clean rim that adapts to light and dark mode. Emojis are larger, labels keep their own capitalization, and the whole card feels lighter and quicker
    • Smoother motion and feedback: polish across the Overview and the entry form: the photo viewer opens and closes on one matched spring, the calendar's emoji-to-photo switch settles as a single motion, more of the Overview toggles give a light haptic tap, and the recurring card's renewal dates step back to gray so the frequency pill reads as each row's accent
    • Income entries read the right way: income now reads RECEIVED IN and RECEIVED ON in place of PAID WITH and PAID ON, because income arrives into an account rather than being paid with one. Expenses keep PAID WITH and PAID ON, and the new wording is translated across every language

    Bug fixes

    • Duplicated recurring entries: editing a recurring rule could sometimes leave you with two entries for the same billing period. Rule edits now behave correctly, so you get a single entry per cycle. Duplicates already in your history are left untouched, since your past entries are yours to keep, and you can clear any strays from the Upcoming section of the new recurring detail view
    • Recurring rules that ended after a set number of payments: a rule set to stop after a certain number of payments used to vanish when it finished, leaving it invisible and impossible to delete. Those rules now show as Ended, exactly like rules with an end date, so you can open or remove them normally
    • Recurring bubbles that froze or ignored edits: the bubbles on the recurring card could freeze mid-drop if the card scrolled into view while they were still animating, and renaming or recategorizing a rule would not update its bubble until you left the tab and came back. Both are fixed, so the bubbles settle smoothly and refresh in place
    • Duplicate entry from a confirmation banner: opening an entry straight from a Tap to Track or Quick Log confirmation banner and saving could create a second copy if a sync happened to land at that exact moment. Editing from the banner is now safe, with no duplicate left behind

    Version 1.14

    July 15, 2026

    New

    • Finny now speaks German and Portuguese: Finny is available in German and Brazilian Portuguese, bringing it to five languages alongside English, Spanish (Spain), and Latin American Spanish. Tap the Language row in Settings to switch without changing your phone's language. Everything follows, including the Spending Calendar widget and the share sheet
    • Your most-used categories come first: the category picker now puts the ones you actually reach for at the top, and a new sort menu lets you choose between Common and Last used. Common blends how often and how recently you use a category, so one you created this morning is right there waiting, and one you abandoned months ago quietly drops back
    • Payment methods ranked the same way: your everyday card no longer sits wherever the alphabet dropped it. The payment picker uses the same Common and Last used sorting, and methods you have never used stay in alphabetical order at the end
    • Turn off logging confirmations: a new Confirmation notifications toggle in Settings → Notifications silences the banner Finny posts after a Tap to Track or Quick Log entry. Error alerts always come through, so you still know if a log did not go in
    • Tap the confirmation to open the transaction: tapping the banner after a Tap to Track or Quick Log payment now takes you straight to that entry, ready for you to fix the category, add a note, or adjust the amount

    Improved

    • Noticeably faster on long histories: saving an entry and picking a category no longer stall on accounts with thousands of transactions. The History calendar, the transaction list, and widget updates all do far less work behind the scenes, so sheets close the moment you tap Save
    • A brighter add-entry menu: Income and Expense now use solid green and red instead of mismatched pastels, with crisper icons and a softer AI Log glow in dark mode. With a theme active, the buttons pick up your theme's colors
    • New 3D artwork across the app: the tab bar and every empty state trade flat symbols for colorful 3D illustrations, from the Overview cards to Budgets and History
    • Chips that feel right: category and payment chips give a light haptic tap when you select one, matching the tab bar and the add button, and their labels no longer carry a stray leading space
    • Settings rows that fit every language: longer labels in German, Spanish, and Portuguese, and at larger text sizes, used to run over the line below. Every Settings row now grows to fit its text

    Bug fixes

    • Entries logged while Finny was closed: expenses logged with Back Tap, Quick Log, or Tap to Track while the app was closed could stay hidden until you opened Finny a second time. They now appear the first time you open it
    • Payment and income lists that would not scroll: if you had more payment methods or income categories than fit on screen, the extras were simply out of reach. Both lists now scroll
    • Siri and Shortcuts pickers out of step: the category and payment method lists inside Shortcuts ordered themselves differently from the ones in the app and ignored entries you had logged by shortcut. They now follow your chosen sort and count every entry
    • English text in translated apps: a handful of buttons, alerts, and messages still showed in English for German, Spanish, and Portuguese users, including the "Edit" chip, the voice input listening label, scanning and import messages, and the names of built-in categories in Siri. The share sheet action is now labeled "Finny" for everyone too
    • The widget speaking the wrong language: the Spending Calendar widget followed your phone's language instead of the one you picked in Finny, so month names, weekdays, and labels could show up half translated. It now follows your choice

    Version 1.13

    July 4, 2026

    New

    • Edit any category or payment method: the built-in defaults are no longer locked. Rename them, give them a new emoji, or delete the ones you never use, just like the ones you created. Deleting one that's in use walks you through moving its transactions first
    • Default payment method: with Finny Pro, mark the card or wallet you use most as your default and every new entry starts with it already filled in. Siri and Shortcuts logging fall back to it too when they can't tell how you paid
    • Categories and payment methods sync with Finny Pro: renames, new emoji, and deletions now follow you to every device you're signed in on, and your customizations come back when you reinstall the app
    • Delete right from the entry editor: open any transaction and remove it with the new Delete button, no swipe gesture required. Recurring entries still ask whether to remove just that one or all future entries
    • So, how'd we meet?: a quick, anonymous question during setup asking how you discovered Finny, so we know where to say hi to more people like you

    Improved

    • A more guided onboarding: setup now moves one step at a time with a smooth slide between screens and the Continue button leading the way, and the "You're all set!" confetti now lands with a satisfying haptic pop
    • Cleaner category and payment method management: the manage screens in Settings are now simple lists sorted alphabetically instead of by hand, so everything is easy to find. Tap any row to edit or delete it. The entry screen still puts your most-used categories first
    • Smarter fallbacks for AI and shortcut logging: if you've deleted the category or payment method Finny would normally pick, AI and shortcut entries now use your default or the closest match instead

    Bug fixes

    • Signed-out Pro users stuck at a paywall: tapping the "Sign in to backup" badge in History or Budgets used to open the subscription screen instead of sign-in, leaving Pro subscribers who hadn't signed in yet going in circles. It now opens sign-in and switches backup on right after
    • Deleted items reappearing after sync: fixed categories and payment methods deleted while a sync was running sometimes coming back on the next one
    • Edits lost during sync: changes you make while a sync is in progress now stick instead of being overwritten by older cloud data
    • Invisible Continue button in onboarding: the Continue button's label was unreadable while disabled. It now shows clearly in every state

    Version 1.12

    June 25, 2026

    New

    • Home & Lock Screen widgets: a brand-new Spending Calendar widget for your Home and Lock Screen. Choose the small receipt for what you've spent this month, the medium card for balance, income, expenses, and savings rate at a glance, or the large full-month calendar. Tap any day to jump straight into History
    • Money Wisdom widget: a small widget that serves up a fresh financial tip every day, right on your Home Screen
    • Quick Log: a fast, free way to log an expense without opening the app or using any AI. Pick an amount, category, and payment method, then run it from Spotlight, Siri (just say "Log an expense in Finny"), the Action Button, or Back Tap. Your entry is ready and waiting the next time you open Finny, and everything stays on your device
    • Choose when your week starts: pick Sunday, Monday, or your device default in Settings → Preferences. Your calendar, weekly charts, and widgets all follow your choice
    • Quick Log setup guide: a short, step-by-step guide in Settings → Shortcuts & Automation that gets Quick Log onto your Action Button and Back Tap in just a couple of taps
    • Richer History calendar: each day now shows your category emoji at a glance, upcoming days are gently marked as "not yet" instead of sitting empty, and the calendar tucks closer to your transaction list for a cleaner view

    Improved

    • Your week stays consistent everywhere: your chosen week start now lines up across the History calendar, the weekly charts and their day labels, and every widget, no more screens disagreeing on whether the week begins on Sunday or Monday
    • Shortcuts & Automation, together: Tap to Track and Quick Log now share one tidy "Shortcuts & Automation" section in Settings, so all your hands-free logging lives in one place

    Bug fixes

    • Cleaner totals in high-value currencies: fixed big single-day totals showing as "+1000M" instead of billions in currencies like Vietnamese Dong. High-spend days now read correctly

    Version 1.11

    May 26, 2026

    New

    • Finny now speaks Spanish: Finny is available in Spanish (Spain) and Latin American Spanish. Tap the Language row in Settings to switch without changing your phone's language
    • FAQ in Settings: a quick link to frequently asked questions in the Feedback & Support section, so you can find answers before opening a ticket

    Improved

    • Simpler Tap to Track setup: the Shortcuts action now uses a single Amount field instead of two, making the Wallet automation easier to configure. Existing setups keep working with no changes needed
    • Refreshed Tap to Track guide: a clearer "When some taps don't log" explainer, a green callout pointing to receipt scanning as a quick fallback, and a new collapsible Q&A covering privacy, transit, online shopping, and cost

    Bug fixes

    • Wrong amounts in some currencies: fixed Tap to Track misreading amounts in zero-decimal currencies like Vietnamese Dong, Japanese Yen, Korean Won, Indonesian Rupiah, Hungarian Forint, and Chilean Peso. A ₫63,000 coffee now logs as 63,000, not 63
    • Foreign-currency taps while traveling: fixed amounts being mis-parsed when your default currency is a zero-decimal one and you tap to pay in a different currency abroad. A $5.00 payment now logs as 5.00, not 500
    • Sharper AI currency detection: text parsing now recognizes currency symbols like ₫, ¥, and ₩ more reliably and handles their decimal rules correctly

    Version 1.10

    May 19, 2026

    New

    • Budgets: a brand new tab for monthly category budgeting. Group any categories together, set a cap, and watch a clean progress card show where you stand each month
    • Rollover budgets: opt in and leftover or overspend from last month carries into this one. Underspent? You get a bigger cap. Overspent? Last month's debt stays visible so the picture stays honest
    • Multi-currency budgets: set a budget in any currency, independent of your default. Entries in other currencies are converted automatically when calculating progress, with a pinned exchange rate so the displayed cap doesn't drift day to day
    • Budgets sync with Finny Pro: your budgets follow you across devices when you're signed in
    • Balance label in History: the History summary now shows a clear "Balance" label with a soft purple gradient accent
    • Themed History filters: category filter chips in History now pick up income and expense colors from your active theme (Classic, Garden, or Coastal)
    • Themed selected categories: selected income and expense category chips now match your theme's palette across the app
    • Smarter category & budget cleanup: deleting a category now tells you up front if a budget will be affected, and reassignment shows which target categories already belong to a budget so you can decide with full context
    • Legacy Shortcuts action: a new "Log Transaction (Legacy)" action in Shortcuts for users with older Tap to Track automations. Swap it in without rebuilding your Wallet trigger

    Improved

    • Refreshed tab bar: Budgets joins Overview and History in the bottom navigation, with a calmer glyph for History
    • Glass-style currency picker: the currency chip in New Entry now matches the frosted look of the date filters
    • Smarter keyboard handling: tapping Category, Payment Method, or Date in the entry screen now dismisses the note keyboard so the picker has room to breathe
    • Steadier entry editing: editing a transaction from History now opens cleanly above the list with smoother presentation and dismissal
    • More accurate currency conversion: conversions between any two currencies (not just to or from your default) now work correctly. Mixed-currency budgets and overviews show accurate totals
    • Cleaner converted amounts: the layout under amounts stays stable whether you have converted amounts shown or hidden
    • Sturdier Tap to Track: Tap to Track now handles rare edge cases gracefully instead of failing, so your transaction still gets logged

    Bug fixes

    • $0 placeholder entries from Tap to Track: Tap to Track no longer creates $0 entries when your bank or wallet hasn't finalized the amount yet (transit, gas pumps, "Pending" charges). You now get a friendly notification asking you to log it manually instead
    • Rating prompt appearing too often: fixed the App Store review prompt firing after every saved transaction. Finny now waits until you've logged a meaningful number of entries and asks at most once per version
    • Chart crash on Compare: fixed a crash when switching between Weekly and Monthly periods with the Compare overlay turned on
    • Tap to Track crash: fixed a rare crash when Tap to Track couldn't access its shared storage on certain devices
    • Crash on empty AI matches: fixed a crash that could happen when the AI returned an empty category or payment method name

    Version 1.9.1

    April 15, 2026

    New

    • Color themes: personalize income and expense visuals across the app. Pick from Classic, Garden, or Coastal in Settings → Preferences
    • History search: find any transaction instantly. Search by note, category, or payment method with a clean animated search bar
    • Laurel wreath for Pro: a small thank-you for Finny Pro subscribers. Your profile avatar now wears a tasteful laurel wreath

    Improved

    • Tap to Track improved: Apple Pay automation now works with a wider range of cards. Existing users will see a quick one-time prompt to refresh their shortcut
    • Refreshed filters: redesigned date range tabs in Overview and History with a smoother, cleaner feel
    • Updated Tap to Track guide: clearer setup steps and a new recommendation to uncheck the Transport category so transit taps don't trigger incomplete logs
    • Polish across the app: new chevron navigation, smoother button animations, and small refinements to charts and the entry flow

    Version 1.9

    April 9, 2026

    New

    • Recurring transactions: set up daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly rules for any transaction. Finny logs them automatically and reminds you when they're due

    • Calendar recurring indicators: days with upcoming recurring entries now show a visual marker in the calendar
    • Numpad style picker: choose between different keypad layouts in Settings
    • Reassign on delete: when deleting a category or payment method, you can now reassign its entries to another one instead of losing them
    • Show all categories in breakdown: toggle to display every expense category in the breakdown chart, not just the top ones

    Improved

    • Redesigned New Entry screen: fresh receipt-inspired look with a dynamic gradient background and cleaner layout
    • New numpad design: reimagined number pad that feels more natural to use
    • Better chart colors: new color palette makes it easier to tell categories apart at a glance
    • Smarter voice input: speech recognition now matches your active keyboard language for more accurate results
    • Improved date and currency pickers: smoother date selection and currency picking when adding entries
    • Refreshed Settings: updated spacing and layout with a cleaner Pro membership display
    • Better receipt sharing: improved image handling when sharing receipts from other apps

    • Deleted entries no longer appear in filtered views
    • History filters and calendar state are now preserved when switching tabs
    • Fixed a crash when using Export or Import share sheets
    • Improved amount formatting in calendar day cells

    Version 1.8.1

    • Better receipt sharing: sharing receipt photos from other apps to Finny now works more smoothly

    Improved

    • Settings feel more natural: preference controls now look and behave like the rest of iOS
    • Feedback board: improved text layout in feedback cards
    • Expense breakdown chart: cleaner percentage display
    • Button styles: refined for both light and dark mode
    • Data recovery: more reliable recovery for users affected by earlier updates

    New

    • Tap to Track setup guide: a simple step-by-step walkthrough with video tutorials gets you up and running in under a minute
    • Siri Shortcuts support: say it and it's done. Use Siri to log transactions hands-free, or build custom automations to track expenses your way
